Don’t Say Gay

May 27th – June 26th, 2022

Curated by David Gorman, Jason Clay Lewis & Tianlan Deng

The Royal @ RSOAA is pleased to present Don’t Say Gay, a group exhibition curated by David Gorman, Jason Clay Lewis, and Tianlan Deng featuring artists Luis Alves, Marne Lucas, Christy Elizabeth O’Connor, Andrew Huff, Robert Moy, Joan Wheeler, Carve Stone, and Dave Kube.

The exhibition will focus on LGBT+ and allied artists expressing their perspective’s integrity while LGBT+ rights and social progress are once again threatened. June is Pride Month in the United States to commemorate 1969’s Stonewall riots, a pivotal event in LGBT+ equality. In this spirit, we invite artists to explore their definitions of pride, equality, sexual orientation and identity through color.
